Main Responsibilities

We are seeking a Head Trainer to join our team at YUL. This position is responsible for overseeing training across all operational functions at the station and for training all staff, including Deicing Technicians, Bay Leads, and OCC personnel. The Head Trainer also maintains documentation and quality assurance processes to ensure the station remains compliant with the requirements of our airline customers and regulatory authorities.

Training:

  • Prepare and deliver theoretical and practical training (initial and recurrent).
  • Ensure the application of internal procedures, industry standards, and airline-specific requirements.
  • Ensure that employee files, training records, and external audit documentation are kept up to date.
  • Supervise the training team, ensuring effective intra-team communication and consistent standards across all shifts.
  • Provide feedback and update training manuals and company procedures.
  • Submit reports on training progress and internal audits, as applicable, to the General Manager and immediate supervisor.
  • Participate in external audits conducted by third parties.
  • Participate in various external forums and activities, such as “Train the Trainer” courses and committees.
  • Participate in special projects that have, or may have, an impact on Aeromag’s training program.

 

Operations:

  • Ensure regular monitoring of the quality and proper execution of deicing operations, as well as compliance with procedures through field audits.
  • Participate regularly in deicing operations, as agreed with the immediate Supervisors.
  • Take part in employee briefings and information sessions.
  • Participate in meetings with the Operations Managers.
  • Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with employees and customers.
  • Be actively involved in the annual performance evaluations of employees (Deicing Technicians and Bay Leads).
  • Participate in the hiring process.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
