Glycol Recycling
Glycol recycling allows us to change our industry for the better.
Aeromag has used glycol recovery and recycling facilities in some of its deicing stations. The used liquid is recovered, recycled, and treated to bring it back to its original state (concentration rate of 99.679%) in order to be reused.
Aeromag is a global pioneer in the field, having had the honor of inaugurating the first recycling plant of its kind demonstrating unprecedented expertise in glycol recycling.

How it works
- Aeromag’s recycling facility efficiently processes used aircraft deicing fluid collected from airports, refining it to yield pure glycol. The high-quality glycol produced in a facility is meticulously blended and certified as Type I deicing fluid once more. An important outcome of this refinement process is the production of glycol and pristine water, resulting in an impressive annual output of 5-7 million gallons of reusable water.
- Aeromag operates the world’s first on-airport glycol recycling evaporator capable of treating spent deicing fluid as low as 0.25% glycol to water.
