Summary

We are currently seeking a candidate to fill a permanent Payroll Specialist position, reporting to the Payroll Supervisor. In this key role, the Payroll Specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of company and subsidiary payrolls across Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. The position works closely with Finance, HR, Benefits, and external payroll vendors to deliver high-quality payroll services and maintain compliance with applicable legislation.

Main Responsibilities

· Process weekly end-to-end payroll for salaried and hourly employees in a seasonal business across 19 operating entities.

· Validate payroll inputs, including timesheet imports, new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, retroactive adjustments, and deductions.

· Validate and process administrative tasks related to seasonal employees.

· Calculate and maintain various time banks (vacation, sick leave, overtime) and ensure accuracy and integrity.

· Generate payroll reports, analytics and reconciliations for Finance, HR and Operations teams.

· Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, state, and local payroll regulations.

· Support payroll audits and internal controls.

· Support month-end and year-end payroll close activities.

· Respond to employee and management payroll inquiries in a professional and timely manner.

· Participate in special projects, including the implementation and updating of payroll-related systems.

Required Skills

· Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist.

· Accredited as a qualified payroll practitioner with experience administering and processing full payroll cycles in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

· Strong knowledge of ADP Workforce Now.

· Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a process-improvement mindset.

· Professional ethics and great concern for confidentiality.

· Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines with high accuracy.

· Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

· Fully bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written.
