The Portraits of Changemakers series highlights the inspiring individuals at Aeromag who, every day, actively contribute to change through their commitment and vision. Among them, Michel Guy, Maintenance and Project Manager at our head office located in Montreal, Quebec.
Michel has been part of the Aeromag team for 20 years. Throughout his career, he has taken on responsibilities focused on providing support and implementing improvements to the company’s infrastructure, equipment, and operations.

“What I enjoy most about my work is its multidisciplinary nature. I like being part of a team that entrusts me with projects aimed at making our operations and infrastructure more efficient, more sustainable, and greener.”
Michel is responsible for managing maintenance and projects specifically related to our YUL station. In his role, he works across several disciplines, including electrical and mechanical systems, processes, and civil engineering. He regularly collaborates with internal and external colleagues to carry out projects related to buildings and infrastructure. He also provides essential support to deicing operations by handling the resolution of various equipment-related issues. His role is essential for innovation and the continuous improvement of Aeromag’s operations.
Over the past year, several projects have contributed to improvements at the YUL station. These include the addition of new charging stations for the hybrid deicing trucks and service vehicles added to our growing fleet. A new IT server room was also installed, and our 50,000-gallon glycol tanks were modified to include man-height access points to facilitate maintenance. Additionally, we have been gradually replacing the air conditioning and heating units installed when the building was constructed in 1997. Finally, ongoing support has been provided for projects led by ADM (Montreal Airports), including the partial renovation of the deicing pad.
Michel might use his determination and passion to reach new heights, but he isn’t the only changemaker at Aeromag. Discover the other fascinating portraits of the key players in our big family.
