Vincent Chenard, Director of Technology and Data Governance
Cybersecurity and technological innovation are at the heart of our operations. By leveraging advanced technologies and external expertise, we continuously enhance our infrastructure, stay ahead of emerging threats, and drive innovation.
Vincent Chenard, Director of Technology and Data Governance, has been part of the Aeromag family for 16 years. He is responsible for ensuring data is handled correctly and in compliance with relevant authorities, safeguarding the company’s cybersecurity, and driving technological optimization and innovation.
At Aeromag, cybersecurity plays a critical role in safeguarding sensitive assets, minimizing risks, and ensuring the resilience of our operations. We rely on advanced technologies and collaborate with specialized cybersecurity companies to provide continuous monitoring and proactive threat hunting. This approach is essential for identifying potential vulnerabilities and maintaining a secure environment, allowing us to stay ahead of emerging threats and protect both our data and infrastructure. The importance of cybersecurity can’t be overstated, as it is fundamental to the integrity and success of our business.
In recent years, several changes have contributed to the improvement of our IT team’s capabilities. One key development has been our decision to seek external expertise to strengthen our infrastructure and processes. As a relatively small team, this outside perspective provided invaluable insights into where our gaps were. An interesting fact is that at least half of our IT team comes from an Aeromag operational background, which brings diverse perspectives to the table. This mix of viewpoints helps us approach challenges more holistically, ensuring we create well-rounded solutions that are adaptable to various scenarios.
When looking at trends and issues in technology, AI is undoubtedly at the forefront. Its potential to revolutionize operations across industries and generate significant financial gains is immense, and we’re only scratching the surface. The possibilities are exciting, but AI also comes with challenges, particularly in terms of disrupting existing cybersecurity protocols. This makes it crucial to stay ahead of the curve and continuously update our security practices to mitigate any risks. While the rapid pace of AI development can be intimidating, it’s also an opportunity to get creative and enhance our capabilities. Embracing this change will ultimately drive innovation and make us even better in the long run.
