At Aeromag, training is a key pillar of our operations. It plays a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency and safety, delivering high-quality service to airlines, and helping prevent human error.
Fernando Echeverri, Director of Operational Excellence, has been a member of the Aeromag team for 24 years. He is responsible for coordinating operations, ensuring compliance, and driving optimization across all our stations in North America and the United Kingdom. His leadership is essential to maintaining safety, strengthening training and compliance, supporting daily operations, and upholding rigorous quality standards, all while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Train, Grow, Excel
Training programs are updated annually in collaboration with various working groups from different stations, along with the training team. This review takes into consideration our internal best practices as well as evolving industry standards. Programs can also be adjusted at any time to address specific gaps or respond to challenges that arise during the season.
Aeromag is an active member of several industry committees and steering groups, contributing to improving general standards and sharing best practices. This involvement allows for direct analysis of changes, as well as new practices and tools to be considered. The implementation process includes a thorough internal assessment of these elements before they are integrated into internal manuals.
Several methods are used to measure the effectiveness of training programs. One of them involves tracking exam results, which provides an overview of participants’ understanding and retention of the material. Post-training surveys are also conducted, allowing employees to share suggestions regarding the content, tools, and learning environment.
Adapting to new regulations and integrating them into training programs, while maintaining clear and accessible content, remains an ongoing challenge. Regularly reassessing participant engagement during sessions is essential to ensure training effectiveness. The integration of technological solutions helps enhance training tools, making the experience more dynamic, interactive, and tailored to learners’ needs.
