The Portraits of Changemakers series highlights the inspiring individuals at Aeromag who, every day, actively contribute to change through their commitment and vision. Among them, William McClain, Admin at our Denver station (DEN), in Colorado.
William has been part of the Aeromag team for five years. He acts as the primary administrative point of contact at our DEN station by playing a key role in recruiting seasonal employees and ensuring they have the necessary resources to succeed as part of the team. Before joining Aeromag, he gained over 20 years of experience in customer service within the international transportation industry.

William plays a pivotal role in supporting and coordinating operational activities related to requests from the Go Team (a team of trained employees called upon to provide back-up at various stations in need) for all stations located in the United States. His responsibilities include managing administrative aspects such as preparing and submitting per diem requests, as well as tracking travel expenses, hotel accommodation, and hours worked for each Go Team member, to ensure all logistical and financial details are accurately recorded and processed.
The supporting duty doesn’t stop once the season is over. William remains busy organizing the annual Christmas in July event, giving the team an opportunity to celebrate the holiday season together while deicing operations are paused and the sun is shining. He also continues to support the recruitment and onboarding process for deicing technicians. One of the ongoing challenges he faces is ensuring that everything is prepared and running smoothly throughout the year.
