Rethinking the Integration of Seasonal Employees

A well-designed onboarding process is crucial for ensuring a positive and successful experience from day one. It not only familiarizes new employees with the company, but also quickly engages them by promoting their understanding of corporate values. This is a key investment in fostering productive and long-lasting collaboration.

We implemented a new onboarding process for seasonal employees in August, perfectly timed for the start of the new season. This process was designed to establish a solid foundation, focused on safety and consistency, from the moment new employees arrive.

The new process starts with a welcome message from the Co-CEOs, Marie-Élaine and Gabriel Lépine, followed by a short introduction about the company before employees begin their learning journey. One of the main improvements is that seasonal employees complete their training on our online platform before classroom sessions, allowing them to familiarize themselves with the company and its terminology.

The process is now standardized across all stations, with learning paths adapted to reflect local policies and handbooks. The new process improves documentation, increases efficiency, and enhances employee experience while keeping the value of in-person learning.

This project is a great example of teamwork in action, bringing together multiple teams to build a smoother, more effective onboarding experience.
