Aeromag Becomes a Shareholder in Electro Carbon
Last July, two Canadian companies that put the environment at the heart of their mission joined forces to build a more sustainable future, as Aeromag became a shareholder in Electro Carbon.
This strategic partnership aims to align their shared interests and accelerate the commercial rollout of both organizations’ solutions. Electro Carbon will gain direct access to field expertise and to a broad airport network across Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. For Aeromag, this is an opportunity to actively support the introduction of an innovative and more sustainable solution into winter operations.
Electro Carbon developed and marketed EcoWay50, a potassium formate based runway deicing fluid. Certified to the AMS1435E airport standard, the product is designed to meet airports’ operational requirements while significantly improving their environmental performance. Due to a unique production process, EcoWay50 reduces GHG emissions by 49% compared with conventional solutions currently on the market. The company’s mission is to offer a new generation of deicing fluids that reconcile operational and environmental performance.

“We chose to join forces with Electro Carbon because of EcoWay50’s potential: to reduce the environmental footprint of winter operations while meeting airports’ operational requirements. Electro Carbon offers an innovation that is already certified and proven in the field. At Aeromag, we bring the experience, network, and operational expertise to accelerate its adoption. It’s a natural partnership with strong potential.” – Marie-Élaine Lépine, Co-CEO of Aeromag

“Since earning AMS1435E certification, EcoWay50 has been used in several pilot projects at airports of various sizes across Canada. These real-world validations allow us to say today that we’re ready to support airports at a larger scale and to meet all their deicing fluid needs for their operations.” – Martin Larocque, Co-Founder of Electro Carbon
Aeromag’s entry as a shareholder in Electro Carbon represents a major strategic lever to accelerate the rollout of EcoWay50. Building on more than 30 years of aircraft deicing expertise and a well-established network, Aeromag will serve as a bridge between Electro Carbon’s innovation and the industry’s operational realities.
Let’s go further together.
